LADKIN HOSIERY - History.
Ladkin Hosiery was formed in 1976 by Paul and Mary Ladkin and has been run by family ever since. Having developed steadily since inception and outgrowing all original factory sites, Ladkin’s strong and successful business expansion saw the business relocate to the current Sileby site in 1990.

The Ladkin plant, with nearly 200 machines combines state of the art with traditional manufacturing capabilities, and our continual investment in technology allows us to stay ahead of competition in the Hosiery industry. Ladkin were the first sock manufacturer in the UK to attain B.S.5750/ I.S.O 9002 way back in 1993 and our commitment to quality is second to none.

Ladkin are continually developing new products, new yarn types and new manufacturing processes allowing us to produce fine gauge computer Jacquard designs, fine gauge stripes, classic plains, ribs, heavy gauge links/ links stitch designs, stitch transfer ‘Pelerine’ styles and sports socks as well as bespoke ranges such as Ladkin Eirean and Ladkin Medical whenever required.
